Croquet at the Flavours of Fingal Show

Over two hundred people tried croquet during the huge Flavours of Fingal County Show at Newbridge House last weekend, showing this venue's importance as a showcase for the game. Five further people and one whole family also signed up for the new Newbridge House Croquet Club, and I feel that many more will be forced to buy garden sets at the insistance of their children!

Thanks to John, Peter & Paula Maxwell, Jack Clingan, Anne-Marie McGowan, Alan Looney and Michael O'Mahony, who assisted with the demonstration. The Newbridge lawn is showing a great improvement already during the short time work has been in progress, and more work is planned. Thanks also - as usual - to Ann Brophy, the Park Rangers and the staff at Newbridge House for their help and cooperation.
