Andrew Johnston from Newcastle Co. Wicklow rounded off an excellent season on the croquet lawns with a memorable win in the final of the European Championships.
Waterville Lake Croquet Society is up and running.
There is one brand new lawn and another lawn which is a converted putting green and they are having the Official Launch and first competitive Golf Croquet tournament on 6th/7th October.

Carrickmines , 1st-2nd September, 2012
This year’s match was held at Carrickmines (by kind permission of the Club) on 1st/2nd September, the first sunny weekend for a long time. The format consists of 15 contests (3 doubles and 12 singles – all best of 3 games). GB won the match 8:5

Gerard has written a very interesting daily diary of the recent Irish Open Championships. It gives an insight into the various levels of competition and it sounds like it was a really enjoyable week which I, for one, am sorry that I missed.

The Waterville Lake Croquet Society are having an open Golf Croquet Tournament as part of their Official Launch and Opening Celebrations on 6th and 7th October 2012.
